Breast diagnostics

Today three different methods are available to examine the female breast. It is often not easy for the patient to choose the right method.

We will be pleased to advise you on the correct prevention method.

Three methods are currently available to examine the breast:

• Breast ultrasound (breast sonography)
• Mammography
• Breast MRI (magnetic resonance imaging)

Each of these methods plays its own important role in diagnosing the female breast. The internationally recognised guidelines for examination and aftertreatment of the female breast help to decide when which method is to be used.

When there are suspect findings, ultrasound punch biopsy also enables a histological diagnosis (cell analysis) without an operation.
